It's Not Your Fault: ADHD, or Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, is a neurobiological condition that involves complex challenges extending far beyond the simple labels of hyperactivity, impulsiveness, and inattention.
Just as some children struggle to learn reading skills, kids with ADHD or Executive Function difficulties often face challenges in managing frustration, adapting to change, and solving problems on their own. Lydia has over 42 years of experience in the delivery and training of social support services in the fields of Health, Child Welfare, and Family Support. As the former Chairperson of the Quality Parenting Initiative (QPI) Training Workgroup and now as a QPI Champion she is known for her passionate and engaging presentations and her empathy and understanding for parents, caregivers and professionals. She is certified in multiple methods of behavioral and family support and has traveled across the country educating professionals on the values of kinship care, and a presenter at conferences, Business Enterprises, Government Agencies and Non-Profits.
