About the Opportunity
The Train-the-Trainer Program prepares qualified CRPS professionals to deliver The Institute@MHP’s structured, fidelity-based curriculum aligned with Florida certification standards.
Upon successful completion and approval, trainers are eligible to contract with The Institute@MHP to facilitate CRPS trainings throughout Florida (virtual, in-person, and hybrid formats).
This role focuses strictly on education and facilitation. It does not include clinical services, diagnosis, or treatment.

Required Qualifications
Current Florida Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) certification in good standing
Lived experience in recovery from mental health and/or substance use challenges
Experience facilitating adult learning, workshops, or group trainings
Strong presentation and group facilitation skills
Ability to work independently and meet contracted deliverables

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience delivering CRPS or peer certification trainings
Knowledge of Florida behavioral health systems and certification standards
Experience with virtual platforms (Zoom, LMS, hybrid classrooms)
Bilingual or multilingual abilities (highly valued)

Position Classification
This role is classified as a 1099 Independent Contractor position. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and benefits.
This is not an employment position and does not include employee benefits.
Training schedules and assignments are based on program needs and contractor availability.

Earnings Potential
Trainers may earn $600+ per participant trained
Compensation is based on contracted delivery rates and cohort size
Payment terms and expectations are defined in the Independent Contractor Agreement

How to Build a Cohort
You will be responsible for marketing to and recruiting the participants for your trainings.
You will be provided with approved templates that you can customize to use for marketing purposes.
Once you have interested participants our Learning Management System will handle the enrollment and payment process.
