Your Pathway to a Career in Peer-Work
I am the Learning & Development Program Supervisor at the Institute@MHP! I have over 25 years of experience in Human and Professional Services driven by a passion for using storytelling and peer support to cultivate relationships and mutual healing.
I have extensive professional experience in the industries of Workforce Development, Community & Social Services and Professional Business Services in the for-profit and non-profit sectors. I have supported an array of individuals including youth and young adults, veterans, unemployed/underemployed, TANF recipients, justice-involved and individuals living with trauma.
I am a Certified Peer Specialist, WRAP® Advanced-Level Facilitator as well as a facilitator of MBSR (mindfulness-based stress reduction) and MBCT (mindfulness-based cognitive therapy). I'm open about my own mental health challenges combining peer-oriented and traditional medical approaches to living a life of recovery. I strive to educate, inspire and build hope for all individuals I encounter – especially those living with mental health challenges, by leveraging my diverse professional and lived experience.
I look forward to guiding you in your Peer-Work Journey.
